Wine Cellar

“Life is too short to drink bad wine”. I’m not sure who first wrote this but it’s so true. To enjoy life one must find balance and that is my inspiration for this section on the Nordenta web site.

I wanted to offer some balance between work and pleasure. A little place you can visit, if only for a moment to relax and enjoy. Check back from time to time as I will endeavour to post some of my suggestions. I also love to cook with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food. Try it some time. Cheers!

Niel’s Suggestion:

Henry of Pelham – Baco Noir 2004 LCBO #270926 $12.95/750ml This wine is made from a hybrid grape. It is a VQA wine from the Niagara Peninsula. Although it is not considered a world class wine it does represent good value. Try it with BBQ ribs, pasta with tomato based sauces or aged cheddar cheese. Deep purple colour, medium bodied, smoky, spicy, blueberry, black fruit. One of my long time favorites. Enjoy!
